Hello,
Can you help me please?
What is the meaning of the phrase: they don't have anything at nibble?
Thank you for your answers.

Think of a rabbit! A rabbit nibbles on its food; it takes many small bites until the food is gone. People are said to nibble on food, most often appetizers. They eat small portions of food, and when it's gone, they eat the main meal.

Lucile -- a quick note in passing: Here , we'll often say you nibble on or you nibble away at something.
He nibbled on some crackers before supper because he was so hungry.
The cost of owning a house was nibbling away at their savings account at the bank.
