Bonsoir à toutes et à tous,
A la demande de Mesdemoiselles Serena et Cocoon, c'est avec plaisir que je vous ai concoté un nouvel exercice.
Tu es dure Serena, pas d’indices !!! Je donne juste une petite indication pour nos
Jeunes
. Si prefer peut être également suivi par un nom, WOULD RATHER requiert toujours un verbe.
Les phrases ci-dessous comportent chacune UNE faute. Cette fois, à vous de corriger !
1) I prefer fly to travelling by car.
2) I would rather to go on holiday than stay at home.
3) I prefer classical music than pop music.
4) Iwould rather going to a concert than listen to a CD.
5) « Shall we drive to Cornwall ? » - I would prefer going by train.
6) I don’t feel very well. I would rather not to go to the party.
7) I prefer working in a team than working alone.

Désolée, je viens de m'aperçevoir d'une faute monstrueuse que je dois corriger, sinon je ferais des cauchemards.
Pour la 7) I prefer working in a team to working alone.
Et je ne suis pas totalement sûre de ma correction, mais la faute (si j'en ai fait une, me paraît moins horrible)...

Je crois que j'ai tout corrigé. Je dois admettre que ce n'est pas évident du tout. Merci pour la révision, c'est utile quelque soit le niveau d'anglais que l'on peut avoir.

GEWURZ : C'est tout juste sauf que..... je te demandais de changer seulement un seul mot : numéro 5 ! Alors, on s'en sort en truandant !!!!!!
CLAIRE : Attention à ta numéro 3 : avec prefer, tu emploieras TO.
La numéro 4 avec rather appelle THAN, contrairement à la 3
La numéro 7 : avec prefer, pense bien à TO.
Tu t'en est vraiment bien sortie !
COCOON: Mais si, la solution, pour la numéro 5, c'était de changer le mot "going" par TO GO, puisque ce n'était pas une généralité on pouvait utiliser un infinitif après prefer.
Pour le 7, oui I prefer, ME TOO !!!!!! Tu t'es bien rattrapée, donc "sweet dreams"
SALSIFY : Bravo ! Je vois ce que tu veux dire pour la 5, mais ici, il nous fallait plutôt choisir de changer "To go" en going (cf. Cocoon).
VMG : Yes, you're right !!! je suis très dure avec toi !!!! Tu as juste oublié le TO avant GO dans la numéro 5, sinon c'était parfait et... en couleurs !!
SERENA : Bien sûr, tout est juste ! Je comprends pourquoi tu as plusieurs solutions.
Bon, mais vu ton résultat au test d'Einstein, on est obligée de te mettre hors concours !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ZEN : Number 5 : You would prefer ? - C'est dommage, c'était tout, tout juste !!!!!!!
SAMIA : Pour la numéro 5, ta première proposition est juste, donc comme pour Serena !!! Pour la deuxième proposition, non à cause du contexte (cf. pour Cocoon).
Voilà, j'ai été très heureuse de faire ce travail avec vous, car sans vous, je n'aurais pas révisé autant pour préparer cette suite, alors encore

Merci Marie pour la correction! Donc la clef de l'énigme pour la 5 était évidente... c'est terrible de chercher des complications là où il n'y en a pas... pour la 7, contente de voir que mon rattrapage/correction a été utile!A quand le "Préféreriez-vous (3)" ?

pour avoir fait l'exercice.Pour répondre à ta demande, après PREFER il y a une forme verbale en -ing et après WOULD RATHER, l'infinitif sans TO.
Relis bien mes petites explications, quitte à retourner sur le premier exo que j'avais proposé, lis la correction, attends un peu et essaye de le refaire.
