Bonjour,

Hello, aimen.

2) When did he call ?
3) He was going outside when the fire broke out.
4) When the fire broke out, he left the house.
5) He had just left when the fire broke out.

7) As soon as it has stopped raining, they will go on walking.
7 bis)Listen ! He's talking about his family.

9) I'll switch the T.V. off, someone just rang ( the bell ).
10) It has been three years since I have known him. (Là, la durée est mise en valeur)
On peut bien sûr dire : I've known him for three years.
11) Hurry up ! The train is about to leave.
12) Tonight, I'm going to take you to the theater where the Anglaisfacile troupe is playing Shakespeare. ( my goodness...!)
13) Bridg is in town ? We'll ask her to our house, then.
Thanks a lot for this kind of exercise I love particularly.

Bonsoir,

Thank you so much for being patient, here is the correction at last.
Someone has taken my watch.
When did he call ?
He left the house when the fire started.
They had been walking for three hours when it started to rain cats and dogs.
(They were walking for three hours when it began to rain cats and dogs).
When/as soon as it stops raining they will go on walking/continue walking/ continue (on) their way/carry on with their walk...
Listen ! He is talking about his family.
He is always cutting in.
I switch off the T.V, someone is knocking at the door/ Present simple: On décrit une action en cours pour insister sur sa brièveté.
Hurry up ! The train is about to leave. (Be about to), l’évènement est imminent.
Réponse: Passé/Présent/Futur!! de aimen7, postée le 16-01-2007 à 21:27:51 (S | E)
Suite:
Tonight, I’m taking you to the theater where the company of Anglaisfacile is playing Shakespeare.
Bridg is in town ? We shall/will invite her, then ( Futur, le fait de l’inviter fait l’objet d’une certitude ou d’une décision prise sur le champ.)
(Couper la parole à quelqu'un: To cut somebody short/to interrupt somebody.
Cut in : Intervenir dans une conversation.)
Voilà, merci de votre participation à tous.
