Bonjour,
Le corrigé à partir de mardi.

VERBES + GERONDIF

On emploie le gérondif pour exprimer ses goûts, ce que l’on aime ou ce que l’on n’aime pas après des verbes tels que enjoy, love, like, hate, prefer.
I enjoy going to the theatre.
J’aime aller au théâtre.
I love reading.
J’adore la lecture.
I hate getting up early.
Je déteste me lever tôt.
I prefer walking in the forest.
Je préfère marcher dans la forêt.

Exercice 1
Répondre négativement aux questions suivantes en utilisant le gérondif.
Ex : Do you want to go to the theatre ? (concert)
No, I prefer going to the concert.

1- Do you want to watch T.V.? (read) -> No,
2- Do you want to visit Buckingham Palace? (go to the cinema) -> No,
3- Do you want to play tennis? (play cards) -> No,
4- Do you want to go to the zoo? (go for a walk) -> No,
5- Do you want to swim? (ride my bike) -> No,

Exercice 2
Construire des phrases en utilisant le gérondif.
Ex : Tim plays cricket. (like)
Tim likes playing cricket.

1- Samantha collects stamps. (like) ……
2- My mother drives fast. (enjoy) …….
3- Greg swims in the ocean. (prefer) ……
4- Ann doesn’t write letters. (hate) ……
5- Heather plays the flute. (love) ……
